El presidente de Bolivia promulga ley que le permite decretar el estado de excepción
The new law will allow Rodrigo Paz to use the military to control demonstrations led by unions and farmers demanding his resignation. The protests have resulted in at least ten deaths and supply problems in the cities of La Paz and El Alto. Paz stated that his government will remain in power until 2030 and asserted that the country faces a threat from “narco-terrorism” and that the new law aims to strengthen security.
