Vintage Freight Elevator Art Museum University of Arizona (U of A) Tucson, AZ Brand: Otis Installed: 1944 Modernizations: None I can't tell if this was installed in 1944 or 1978. According to wikipedia, paintings were donated in 1944. I NEARLY got busted. Usually, this elevator is locked off to the public and is only accessible on B and on 4. However, someone left it open and I hopped on. You can see a security guard peeping through the window, which is why I was only able to take 1 ride. Next time, I want to ask permission to film this elevator. I just don't know who to ask. The Art Museum and the Art Building are both connected to each other and share the same building. The passenger elevator is modernized with a mod that is not tasteful.
