At the end of book 3, Gulliver leaves Laputa after visiting its surrounding countries and witnessing their strange customs, and returns home. Five months later, he leaves his pregnant wife to captain a ship named adventure. At the sea after many of his original crew die of a disease, he is forced to recruit new sailors. The new sailors corrupt the old crew and they take over the ship to become pirates.
