Nearly ten years ago, Taddeo, an award-winning journalist and longtime contributor to New York magazine and Esquire, embarked on a project to write about desire from the female perspective. Her deeply reported, groundbreaking book follows the erotic lives and longings of three women: a North Dakota high school student having a relationship with her English teacher, a wife trapped in a passionless marriage whose life is changed by an affair, and an entrepreneur whose husband likes to watch her have sex with other people.
