2021 Jeep Gladiator Third Brake Light R&R

My Jeep is just like every other Jeep on the road; full of flaws and always throwing a CEL. However, that doesn’t stop me from finding joy every time I drive it! Today’s repair is replacing the third brake light assembly. To do so, you have to remove the tailgate handle assembly. This video will give you the quick and dirty on how to get the job done. A few torx bits and a 10mm socket gets the job done. Having a small screw driver can be handy if the plastic clips are giving you the fits. All in all it’s a ten minute job, unless you want to clean as you go. I also decided to use a little lithium grease on the handle spring and lever to assist in longevity. The replacement third brake light assembly is from the Dorman company.
