Episode 3/5 – The Day the River Turned Red | Sardinia TET 14 After intense days off-road, TET 14 takes us out of the remote forests and back toward the coast. At the start, it’s hard to tell how demanding, varied, or long this day will actually become. That uncertainty is exactly what makes Sardinia so special for us, time and time again. A defining moment is riding along the Rio Rosso. With its unusual color, the river looks almost unreal. The reason lies in the former mining activity around Montevecchio: iron-rich residues are washed out of the rock and old mines, giving the water its striking appearance.
