Making a complicated steel radiator pipe with end beads & bracket
This is a detailed video showing how to make up a complicated steel radiator pipe for a 1975 Mercedes 280SL. The existing pipe was corroded and no longer available from Mercedes. We had to figure out how to put beads at both ends (to stop the radiator hose slipping off) and also how to attach the bracket without a welder. The end result was almost perfect, and you would be hard pressed to tell it wasn’t the original pipe.
