As such, it's a traditional, grand, and secret festival that offers a glimpse into the bravery of the men who participate. Although the scale has been scaled down this year, I've been looking forward to it for the past seven years. Today, we visited the Tate Onbashira ritual, said to be the most dangerous of the festival. This ritual is only visible to parishioners, so will you actually be able to see it?
