THE CHALLANGING HARDKNOTT PASS | IS IT HARD?

The 'Hardknott Pass' in the Lake District, Cumbria, England tops any other motorcycle ride in England I have done to date. This time I'm riding it anti-clockwise. I find it just as exhilarating & affirming my desire to keep coming back to this beautiful landscape to tour. The 'Hardknott' Pass is 393m or 1,289ft, the narrow ex-military road built by the Romans is very steep at a gradient of 33% (1 in 3).
