Brejinho (RN) dates back to the 17th century, with its settlement linked to livestock farming and agriculture in swampy lands, giving rise to the name "Brejinho" or "Abrejava", and it consolidated itself as "Land of Flour", an important production and cultural center, famous for the quality of its cassava flour and with its political emancipation formalized on March 28, 1963.
