Marc suggests fasting, but it's not well received! Thankfully, Trish provisioned us, and her spice Blends came in clutch! When we visited Mount Rushmore during Season 1, we skipped Devils Tower. It's impossible to make time for everything, and Devils Tower seemed kinda predictable. Fast forward many years later (with a focus on National Parks and Monuments) and it turns out that Devils Tower is a bit of a sleeper park. Perhaps we were there at the perfect time of year or our expectations were lower than normal, but we loved it! In the shoulder season, we were able to get a first-come site at Belle Fourche River Campground, which is directly below the monument. If you have a big rig or want full hookups, there is a KOA directly outside the park entrance.
