If we have a digital mixer with a built-in card, such as the Behringer X32, we can configure it as an interface for performing electrical and acoustic measurements with Smaart. This way, we will SAVE ourselves from purchasing an external interface like the one we used in all the previous videos. In this case, we must configure Smaart's measurement and reference inputs, as well as the pink noise outputs, choosing the digital mixer's card as the INTERFACE. As for the mixer, we must configure the reference signal to enter a channel of the mixer and then return it directly to Smaart without going through the system. To do this, we can use a DIRECT OUT output from the channel and send it to an output on the card, and from there, to Smaart. Likewise, we must configure the measurement signal to enter another channel of the mixer and then send it to MAIN MIX to be played through the speakers. Finally, we'll collect the measurement signal with a microphone, connected to one channel of the mixer, and send the microphone channel's DIRECT OUT to another output on the card so that it reaches the Smaart measurement input.
