How to Paint Watercolor Daffodils - Easy Beginners Real Time Step by Step Painting Art Tutorial
Watch ad-free on Patreon: / 79329 Daffodils don't have to be impossibly difficult! This painting is a watercolor warmup exercise to practice water control, laying in a graduated wash, and assorted brushstrokes. And at the same time I'll show you a simple and fun way of giving the impression of a bright and cheerful field of daffodils. It's an ideal method for creating a stress-free card or gift tag, if you paint smaller, or if you paint yours the same size as mine it would make a cute set of bookmarks. As well as a sheet of watercolour paper, all you need is the following limited palette, a No. 10 and No. 7 round synthetic brush and an old toothbrush. Colours used: For the Sky Ultramarine Blue https://amzn.to/3wwKxw3 OR Cobalt Blue https://amzn.to/39HJBLd For the Daffodils: Quinacridone Gold: https://amzn.to/3qb3FMs OR Burnt Sienna https://amzn.to/39CyV0D Lemon Yellow https://amzn.to/3fCC9Vv OR Cadmium Yellow https://amzn.to/2PBg679 Sap Green https://amzn.to/3mhsFjP Intense Green https://amzn.to/3dugwE7 For the Pansies: Winsor Violet: https://amzn.to/3umKroQ Paper I used a sheet of Bockingford 140lb cold pressed watercolour paper https://amzn.to/2PVOXvf Brushes I suggest for beginners an inexpensive round brush such as the Princeton Snap Brush, which is a decent starter brush and comes in many shapes and sizes at a low price. https://amzn.to/2Pncwg When you want a better brush you have an endless array to choose from. I would recommend Pro Art as a reliable brush to try and at a reasonable price - start here: Prolene brush size 10 https://amzn.to/3sN1zDR And this is a brush set similar to the ones I import from Japan: https://amzn.to/3sMMvpF — I am an experienced and qualified teacher and I want to share my skills with you so you can improve at watercolour painting.
