RARE VR C501 & RailPower CLF's Rescue SCT Freight - Adelaide Hills Trains

A very rare occasion in South Australia saw C501/CLF2/CLF4 enter the state from Victoria to rescue a failed SCT Freight. Not long after 2030 hrs the night before 4MP9 failed between Petwood and Nairne in the Adelaide Hills leading to a 13 hours wait for rescue locomotives. The rescue locomotives pushed the train from the rear to Mount Lofty before heading back to Dooen to haul the Dooen Service to the Port of Melbourne. Locomotives SCT013/SCT004/CSR003/CSR012 work from the front of the train. Pacific National Freight 5AM5 was also held up overnight for 13 hours until the SCT Freight cleared the way for it to continue onto Melbourne.
