I Survived a Terrorist Attack at an Ariana Grande Concert | Unscripted

On 22 May 2017, 22 innocent lives were lost at Manchester Arena in one of the deadliest UK terror attacks in the last 20 years. Max Balegde, along with his little sister and over 14,000 music lovers, attended Ariana Grande's concert hoping to see a show they would never forget - and they did. As the concert ended, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the foyer as fans were leaving, tragically claiming 22 lives and impacting thousands. After living to tell the tale, Max endured years of survivor's guilt and mental health battles but later overcame his struggles to become one of the UK's biggest social media influencers. Now, he is using his platform to help the government raise awareness around the importance of defeating terrorism. He is also helping to inform the public about the ways they are being made safer to enjoy concerts and events at venues across the UK.
