How to check Flowerhorn is Fertile or not?? - must watch

Nowadays, everyone tries to keep Flowerhorn Fish at their home and after a certain time tries to do its breeding. So through this video, I want to convey that How you can check that the Flowerhorn kept with you is fertile or not. As you can see in this video a male flowerhorn is swimming with Monster Kok and its size is around 5-6 inches. But you can't simply tell by looking at your Flowerhorn that in future it is going to be fertile or not. So let's go through the details from which you can know that the Flowerhorn you have kept in your Tank is fertile or not. When any Flowerhorn is imported from overseas either from Thailand or From any other part of the world then there are 80-90% chances that the Flowerhorn is not fertile it is sterile. They do so because they want that no one can breed their Flowerhorn at shops or at homes and start selling to others. Therefore overseas breeders put a certain type of medicine in Flowerhorn Tank so that it becomes infertile and then they sell it to the customers. The main reason behind doing this process to make flowerhorn infertile is that these overseas breeders have huge fish farms from which they are earning good money. So if they start selling fertile fishes then everyone can breed their own Flowerhorns and no one will again buy from them and due to this, they will lose a lot of business. So that’s why they make Male Flowerhorn infertile before selling. As I told at the beginning of the video that 80-90% of males are infertile so there are still some chances that the Flowerhorn which you kept could be fertile. So if you want to check the fertility of Flowerhorn Fish you have to wait for 6-8 months or near about 10 months because in this period you will discover the quality of Flowerhorn Fish. Like its shape of the head, color growth, body overall growth, and shape of other body parts like fins, tail, gills, etc. When you have kept the Flowerhorn for 6-8 months and you find it to be a fully grown male then you just have to introduce a female and have to wait till female lays eggs. Once the female laid eggs then within 4-5 hours, if the male started moving over the eggs and started the process of hatching then the color of eggs changes to dark gray then your male Flowerhorn is fertile. If they are not turned black and are present in natural color then your male could be infertile. Even during a waiting period of 1-2 days if the color of eggs turns completely white then chances are that the male is infertile. It is not necessary that the Female Flowerhorn which laid eggs would be hatched by a male in the first attempt. You have to try at least 2-3 times. Some people share their stories that they have waited for 2 years to discover the fertility of male. So its better to try 3-4 times and give Flowerhorn pair more chances to hatch the eggs together because it's not easy to do the pairing of Flowerhorn Fish. Even there are many chances that while attempting to pair the fishes one of the fish can attack the other leading to its death. When a Flowerhorn pair is established and the female laid eggs there are chances that male could eat up those eggs. So then also you are not able to judge that male Flowerhorn is fertile or not. So after so many attempts even when a male is unable to hatch those eggs then try replacing the male. So in this process, you have to be patient before concluding the male is fertile or not. summing up patience is the key to success which can give you successful breeding.
