Making cold snacks, harvesting vegetables, and making aprons out of scraps. My husband and I are enjoying our second summer in a rural farmhouse. This year, we installed an air conditioner in the Japanese-style room, so we can relax and sew or read in a cool room. It reminds me of summer vacations long ago, when my mother used to sew and make agar jelly. Now I am doing the same things my mother used to do. Please also take a look at this week’s garden updates. Eggplants, cucumbers, okra, and white melons are ripening on their own, bringing joy to our daily lives.
