TOFU from BLACK BEANS? (yes, but not what you think!) | Mary's Test Kitchen

Will Black Beans Tofu? That is a question that has been asked and answered. No, they will not. However, the title is NOT clickbait; one special bean that is black CAN transform into high protein, low carb tofu that you can use in regular recipes that call for tofu. In this episode of #WillItTofu, I'll share: what black beans will tofu, how to make tofu out of these 'black beans', is this 'black bean tofu' any good? what happens when we air-fry, boil, or pan-fry it? and how much does it cost. As in all the tofu-making videos in this series, our aim is to create a close alternative to the traditional tofu. It's low carb and high protein and made with the traditional tofu-making method. That is, with pressing coagulated high protein curds as opposed to the high carb, lower protein, polenta-like tofu like Burmese Tofu). Please let me know if you have other questions.
