Fauziah Priati Ningsih binti Abdul Raji (47), a resident of Carangrejo Hamlet, Kesamben District, Jombang, was the unregistered wife who killed her husband Lukman Haqim (44) using potassium mixed into his drink bottle. Lukman, a resident of Catakgayam Village, Mojowarno District, Jombang, was found dead in his rented house in Karangtengah Hamlet, Johowinong Village, Mojoagung District, Jombang, in a state of decomposition. Lukman's body was discovered after Fauziah surrendered to the police, having concealed her murder for nearly 42 days. During a press conference at the Jombang Police Headquarters on Thursday (June 26, 2025), AKP Margono Suhendra, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jombang Police Department, stated that the murder occurred on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at around 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), but was only revealed more than a month later, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Fauziah admitted to killing Lukman. She came to the Jombang Police Department and voluntarily surrendered. In her confession, Fauziah detailed the entire sequence of actions leading up to the victim's murder at a rented house in Karangtengah Hamlet, Johowinong Village, Mojoagung District. "The perpetrator first gave the victim drinking water mixed with potassium. The water bottle was often used by the victim for morning drinks. At that time, she placed 7 potassium tablets, 4 of which were purchased, into the bottle. Then, she shook the bottle to mix the water and potassium," AKP Margono Suhendra told the media. The victim drank the bottle containing the water mixed with potassium, and immediately began to experience poisoning. Fauziah burned the remaining three bottles of potassium next to the house. "After the victim drank it, Fauziah stabbed him twice in the lower right chest with a kitchen knife. She also struck him in the head from behind with a 4 cm x 6 cm wooden block measuring 1 meter long and repeatedly struck him in the face," he said. Margono continued, explaining that the victim was found dead and decomposing at the scene. During the crime scene investigation, the victim's body was found face down on a brown mat, covered by a pillow and the mat. "The autopsy revealed a stab wound to the chest and bruises on the head," Margono explained. Police also secured evidence from the scene, including a brown mat, a kitchen knife, a 4 cm x 6 cm wooden block measuring 1 meter long, and two pillows. "The perpetrator was charged under Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code.
