Global Aerofoam (AF) T-45 Goshawk (Turbine) Maiden Flight

The maiden flight is in the books!!! And I am in LOVE!!!! Anyways, flew the maiden with 178mm (7 inches) CG per the manual. CG is measured from the leading edge of the wing at the root (where wing meets fuselage) aft. Control throws were the mid rates for the aileron and rudder and high rate for the elevator. I think aileron rates could be higher! Again all by the manual that I got from Ralph Salgado. Servos are all running direct from a 2s lipo via AR SmoothFlite16 system. No issues there. Servos all handle 8.4V just fine. I'll be running them this way always! Power is provided by a Kingtech K85 G2 turbine. It provides plenty of power and is a perfect match for this jet! I encountered an issue where one of the mains failed to retract in flight. Luckily since I am using the Xicoy LG-15 Landing gear controller which is very configurable, I increased the max current for the mains from 1A to 1.5A. On the next flight (video coming out soon), gears went up no problem. Otherwise a non eventful maiden. Landing gear suspension is amazing on this jet. Landed hot on maiden and the gear really did shine!. On subsequent flights landings were all butter. Overall, LOVE LOVE LOVE this jet! You will definitely see more of this on the channel.
