Dow Crag via Walna Scar Road

a late in the day start we didnt get round to seathwaite for a while due to no reasearch of this walk but after doing our previous walk to Great Carrs,Swirl How & Grey Friar we ran out of time to reach Dow Crag for the tops... i Checked a route up old man and over to which i had previous done to Elishas round and i thought being so late in the day the parking would be possible full and with this in mind took a stab in the dark for Seathwaite. i am so glad i took the inititive to do this as the Duddon Valley was impressive as i remember from my youth of jumping off Birks Bridge into the river Duddon of which was good fun back then but not much room for error but that was the ways of the Generation back then we wernt fussed as much of health&saftey haha... The memorys came flooding back and it was Great to drive along them roads again! moving back to our day we head up Bridleway After we pass The farm Cottages onto the public Walna Scar Road for Dow Crag the trail starts at the Bridle on foot to Dow Crag was a lovely time out .
