Melbourne turned out to be a city where the evening sounds like an open-air opera. Old trams, graffiti-covered alleyways, an 1861 pub, and fish that nearly drove me crazy. I went out for a walk around Melbourne at night after a short nap and suddenly realized I was starting to like the city more and more. Music was playing in the streets, people were sitting outdoors in a modern square listening to opera, old trams were rumbling along the rails, and in 19th-century pubs, people still make appointments "under the Chloe"—the legendary painting that has hung there for almost a century and a half. This video shows Australia at night, without the tourist rush. Graffiti-covered alleyways, Melbourne's oldest pub, street concerts, bustling restaurant districts, and an attempt to find the perfect dinner. At first, things didn't go so well—strange ceviche, an empty restaurant, and the feeling I'd chosen the wrong place. But then came the barramundi—a fish that literally saved my evening and made me fall in love with Australian cuisine completely. Melbourne still seems completely different to me than Sydney. More relaxed, more restaurant-oriented, and somehow surprisingly cozy. A city created not for rushing, but for long walks, conversations, concerts, and beautiful evenings. Shalom!
