Trolleybuses in Tallinn temporarily out of service

There's many reasons why trolleybuses are taken out of traffic since 31.10.2024 Firstly current trolleybuses are quite old ( 14 - 17 years) and in really bad shape. Second and third are that while waiting for new trolleybuses to arrive, Tallinn is promising to do mayor reconstruction works on overhead wires and infrastructures. Some of the road works are also disturbing trolleybuses traffic. Current trolleybuses are being withdrawn and sold, and Tallinn is ordering 40 new trolleybuses which should arrive in early 2026. Since 01.11.2024 all the trolleybus departures are replaced by buses Trolleybus nr 1 to bus 81 Trolleybus nr 3 to bus 83 Trolleybus nr 4 to bus 84 Trolleybus nr 5 to bus 85
