Project Doris - Look after your tools - RTECH MIG180 Naked

Progress on Project Doris has been good, but after stopping to clean up all the metal carnage for slicing and dicing the MIG180 was looking rather sorry so it was time to whip off the covers and get rid of all that nasty ferrous dust. RTECH ( https://www.r-techwelding.co.uk/ ) actually have no problem with users removing the covers to clean the machines as far as I know, even under warranty which makes complete sense. Ever wondered what was in a IGBT welder, now is your chance :-) Opened up, cleaned, oiled and put back together in less than 15 minutes. Be VERY VERY careful around the PCB, even switched off the voltages and charge stored are lethal and you risk damage to the PCB. All I do around these parts is blow off the dust to stop it collecting around the connections on the IGBTs and clogging up the heatsinks. Love this machine, whatever you do, stay with the blue ! :-)
