This peaceful ride begins just outside Rydal and follows a spectacular route through the heart of the Lakes, capturing breathtaking views, quiet country lanes, rivers, mountains, and traditional villages along the way. Starting near Rydal, we cross the beautiful River Rothay before continuing towards Skelwith Bridge, passing through the peaceful landscapes around Elterwater and Chapel Stile. As we ride through the village, you’ll hear the charming sound of church bells ringing in the distance, adding to the atmosphere of this unforgettable Lake District experience. The route then climbs towards Red Bank, one of the most scenic roads in the area, offering incredible views across the valley towards the Langdale fells and surrounding mountains. From there, we continue towards the picturesque village of Grasmere, famous for its stunning lake views, historic surroundings, and peaceful countryside. Finally, we complete the loop with a beautiful return journey back towards Rydal Water, enjoying more of the incredible landscapes that make the Lake District one of the most loved destinations in the world.
