JB Reviews fixed his truck's ride quality by swapping out his factory leveling kit for a true McGaughy's 4-inch Premium Lift Kit. He added upper control arms and 38-inch tires, which eliminated frame rubbing and doubled his suspension's droop travel for a much smoother ride. Suspension Movement: Droop travel was extended from the restrictive factory 2 inches up to an impressive 4 inches. Tire Setup: Now clearing massive 38x13.50 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires without any rubbing. Why the Change Mattered Because factory leveling kits often preload the suspension, they can cause the truck to bottom out and limit overall suspension travel.
