Treatment and Crisis plan for mental health wellness & safety About the Presenter: Kristy Schmidt (she/her), MN, RN, NEA-BC, CPXP, has been a nurse for over 15 years and has been with St. Luke’s Health System for 10 years, currently serving as the Director of Patient Experience. She has special interests in patient– and family–centered care, patient education, population health management, and the science behind compassion and healing. Kristy is an expert in patient and family advocacy, caring for unique populations of patients, and understanding patient and family feedback and data. Kristy holds a Master of Nursing from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Nursing from University of Alaska, Anchorage. She has certifications in nursing leadership and patient experience. Kristy has published research and has a history of caring for patients in several settings including pediatrics, behavioral health, medical-surgical, and women’s health. Over the last 2 years, Kristy has been active in caring for patients, alongside her usual leadership role, supporting healthcare teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of work Kristy is currently participating in the Boise City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Boise (2020-2021) Young Professionals Program. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing music, traveling, gourmet baking, running and strength training. She lives in Boise with her 16-year-old Kaiya, partner Jonah, and cat Ramona.
