Jean Schwartz - China Town I WDR BIG BAND

In memory of Kurt Edelhagen, one of the most significant orchestra leaders in the field of dance music, Schlager and jazz in Germany in the 1950s and 1960s.The title "China Town" by the U.S. American composer Jean Schwartz in an arrangement by Francy Boland was part of the classic repertoire of the Kurt Edelhagen Orchestra, which can also be described as the forerunner of today's WDR BIG BAND. Special features include the trombone, trumpet and saxophone sections alternating with Hans Dekker on drums. Recorded at the WDR Studio Bocklemünd / Cologne (October 2020).
