Ustadh Yusuf Pongkawi emphasized six characteristics of successful believers from the Quran, Surah Al-Mu'minun, verses 1-11: “Indeed, those who believe have succeeded—those who are humble in their prayers, and those who turn away from frivolous things, and those who give zakat, and those who guard their private parts except their wives or those whom their right hand possesses (i.e., female slaves). In that case, they are not blamed. So whoever seeks otherwise, those are transgressors. And those who are attentive to their assigned duties and their promises, and those who maintain their prayers—these are the heirs, who will inherit the Gardens of Faridaus, and therein they will dwell forever.” The following are the six characteristics of the inhabitants of Paradise in Islam: 1. Khushu' prayer (prayer with great respect) 2. Stay away from frivolous things. 3. Pay Zakat. 4. Stay away from adultery. 5. Maintain trustworthiness (Amanah). 6. Do not neglect prayer (Salat). Furthermore, the lecturer explained the blissful state of the inhabitants of Paradise in Islam, where everyone will say "Salam Salam" to express true peace. The inhabitants of Paradise will live comfortably, free from suffering, worries, or debts like in this world. He also provided guidance on maintaining faith by avoiding "Shirk" (associating partners with Allah), such as believing in stars, lunar phases, or fortune tellers, which are major sins that disqualify one from entering Paradise. He also cited the exemplary conduct of Muslim ancestors who, even at the age of 90, consistently performed Duha and Tajjud prayers.
