3 Stereo Recording Techniques

On this episode of Sound 101, Andrew and Steve tackle 3 different techniques for recording stereo sound! XY, ORTF, and binaural options! Each two-microphone technique has its perks and drawbacks but the results are the same: stereo sound effects that add incredible dimension to your short films and other digital content. Mono sound recordings are useful but much more can be achieved with the pair. These techniques can be used to capture ambience, wild sound, foley and more.
