PM Modi Launches New UDAN Scheme | Jodhpur Airport Gets New Terminal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the modified UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, giving a major boost to regional connectivity and India's civil aviation sector. With an outlay of ₹28,840 crore over the next 10 years, the revamped scheme aims to expand aviation infrastructure by developing 100 new aerodromes, 200 helipads, and improving connectivity to remote and underserved regions. It is expected to benefit 4 crore passengers. During the visit, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport, built at a cost of ₹480 crore, with the capacity to handle 20 lakh passengers annually.
