W Cape police issues a stern warning ahead of June 30

The SAPS in the Western Cape has issued a stern warning ahead of the planned protest march against illegal immigrants on 30 June. Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt-Gen Thembisile Patekile, says no incitement to violence by any person, or spread on social media, will be tolerated. He says over 2 500 illegal foreign nationals have been arrested across the province and there is no need for others to take the law into their own hands. All stakeholders including municipalities, law enforcement and other entities are in discussions ahead of the expected protests.
