Walla Beauty Fishing & Hunting Kana everyone — a beautiful morning in Tukao Village, Manihiki, as we come together after the ANZAC Day dawn parade for our 25th April 2025 village fishing competition, proudly run by the Tukao Fishing Club. The papas head out by boat while the mamas and kids fish the reef and shoreline. From early morning launches, reef fishing, trolling, drop-offs, first strikes, weigh-ins, and prize giving — this is a full day of island fishing, family, and community. All fish count, all divisions matter, and at the end of the day the catch is shared with our sponsors — because that’s how we do it on the island. A special day remembering ANZAC, celebrating culture, and enjoying the ocean together.
