Why Are There So Many Koreans in Angeles City? 🇰🇷🇵🇭 | Exploring Koreatown

Today I'm exploring Koreatown along the Filipino–American Friendship Highway in Angeles City, Pampanga. As I walked through the area, I started wondering: Why are there so many Korean restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and businesses here? In this vlog, we explore the history of Friendship Highway, the former Clark Air Base, how Koreatown developed after the Americans left in 1991, and why South Koreans have made this part of Angeles City one of the largest Korean communities in the Philippines. Along the way we'll discover Korean BBQ restaurants, Korean street signs, local landmarks and the fascinating history behind one of Angeles City's most interesting neighbourhoods. 📍 Locations featured: • Filipino–American Friendship Highway • Koreatown • Don Juico Avenue • Angeles City, Pampanga • Clark Freeport If you enjoy walking tours, local history and discovering the real Philippines, please consider subscribing and joining me on the next adventure.
