He lives with spina bifida, commonly known as "open spine," and struggled for a long time with the consequences of his mobility impairment before ending up in a wheelchair at the age of 25. After years of depression, Tan found his way back to life through humor. Today, he is a world record holder in wheelchair basketball. His foray into comedy began when he accidentally made a joke during an inclusion presentation. In the documentary "A Blind Man, a Deaf Man, and a Lame Man," he addresses life's challenges and solutions with gallows humor. What bizarre auditions he's experienced as a wheelchair user, why humor can be a good outlet, and why doctors call him a "charlatan"—find out in the Cologne Talk Show.
