Te Kuiti August 2016 2
Te Kuiti has a population of 4221, and is the largest town in the Waitomo District. Waitomo District Council has over the past few years been working with Te Kuiti Development Inc (TKDI) - a volunteer based community group to make Te Kuiti a vibrant and thriving township. In December 2015 a mob of steel sheep sculptures were installed in Rora Street by Waitomo District Council. The sheep are sponsored by local families and businesses. These photos taken by Waitomo District Council capture the developments taking place in Te Kuiti, plus some sights and scenery of the town.
