Documentary video about the origin of the Sicilian mafia, which is called Cosa Nostra. It depicts the period of secret societies from the 15th century, through the development of banditry during the 18th century, the unification of Italy, to the creation of the mafia as we know it today. The narrative ends with the beginning of the First World War period, which I will cover in the next video. The video has a documentary and informative nature and is not intended to support illegal and violent acts committed by the mentioned persons. On the contrary, it should publicly point out and condemn these acts. The video is also non-political and is not meant to support former and current totalitarian regimes.
