Designing effective collaborative learning in education

Collaborative learning is often used as a didactic teaching method in higher professional education, but in many cases does not lead to the desired learning outcomes. Collaborative learning is only of added value in a learning process if it contributes to a deepening of the learning process of each student in a team and leads to more learning outcomes for each student. This requires knowledge about how collaborative learning can be effectively used in a learning process and how technology can be optimally utilized to support the learning.
