We took a ferry from Naha on Okinawa Island to Kumejima Island. Despite the unfortunate weather, it was a fantastic 2-day, 1-night trip, filled with the stunningly beautiful emerald blue sea and the warmth of the island's atmosphere. The accommodation we stayed at, "Seaside House Dugong," was incredibly affordable at just 4,800 yen per night, yet the renovated, clean rooms and ocean views far exceeded our expectations! We also visited the island's scenic spot, "Tatamiishi," and the "Sea Turtle Museum," where we saw adorable sea turtles. Furthermore, we enjoyed Kumejima's unique cuisine, such as "Gurukun" (a type of fish) and "Awamori" (Okinawan liquor), at a local restaurant beloved by the community.
