Jazz at the Pav is an annual music program where some of the best jazz groups and improvisers from Sydney and beyond are featured in the beautiful acoustic surrounds of the Bondi Pavilion Theatre. Local trio Lisathe (bassist Brendan Clark, guitarist Oliver Thorpe, and drummer Miles Thomas) craft warm, cinematic soundscapes blending blues, jazz and contemporary textures. Their immersive, beautifully finessed music calls to Bill Frisell, Charlie Haden and Daniel Lanois while channelling the sonic world of Björk’s atmospheric Icelandic melodies.
