JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka invited several student representatives to participate in a working visit to Ende, Gorontalo, and the Papua region. This step was taken as part of the government's efforts to strengthen oversight and improve the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) and Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) programs. In his statement at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, Thursday (June 18, 2026), Gibran stated that the students' involvement was a follow-up to various constructive inputs they had received regarding the implementation of priority government programs. The government wants to ensure that the implementation of MBG and KDMP is transparent, accountable, and on-target, in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's directives. Gibran also expressed his appreciation for the students who have expressed their aspirations peacefully and actively provided criticism and suggestions. According to him, the government is committed to ensuring that every allocated budget is truly utilized for the benefit of the community and is free from corruption. Student involvement is expected to strengthen collaboration between the government and the younger generation in overseeing national strategic programs.
