കൊച്ചി നഗരത്തിന്റെ ഗതാഗത രംഗത്ത് വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കുന്ന കാക്കനാട് മെട്രോ റെയില്‍ പദ്ധതിയുടെ നിര്‍മാണം വേഗത്തില്‍ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. കലൂര്‍ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇന്‍ഫോപാര്‍ക്ക് വരെയുള്ള മെട്രോ പാതയുടെ നിര്‍മാണം ഇതിനോടകം 58 ശതമാനം പൂര്‍ത്തി ആയന്നൊണ് കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ റെയില്‍ ലിമിറ്റഡ് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്. നഗരത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കന്‍ മേഖലയെ കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ ശൃംഖലയുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ നിര്‍ണായക പദ്ധതി വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ ഒരേസമയം പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. മെട്രോ പാതയുടെ പ്രധാന സിവില്‍ നിര്‍മാണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളില്‍ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ പുരോഗതിയാണ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്. ആകെ നിര്‍മിക്കേണ്ട 469 തൂണുകളില്‍ 310 എണ്ണം ഇതിനകം പൂര്‍ത്തിയായി. The construction of the Kakkanad Metro Rail project, which is set to bring massive changes to Kochi city's transport sector, is progressing rapidly. Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has stated that 58% of the construction work on the metro line from Kaloor Stadium to Infopark has already been completed. This crucial project, which connects the eastern region of the city to the Kochi Metro network, is progressing simultaneously in various sections.
