Martin's interview with Prof Peter O'Sullivan: "I felt broken, I felt weak"
Martin developed severe low back pain after an injury playing sport. Over the next 4 months his pain became more severe, limiting his ability to function across all aspects of his life. He attempted various interventions including core stability exercises but these did not help his pain. The pain had a major impact on his self-confidence and mental health. This video looks at Martin both when he first presented at a low back pain workshop with Prof. Peter O'Sullivan in London, and one year later when he describes his progress out of pain to regain his quality of life. For Martin, changing his mindset and beliefs about his back as well as his behaviours was key to his recovery.
