We have been marked by record floods in Bosnia, a polar storm in the USA, unprecedented forest fires in Australia, a deadly typhoon in Madagascar and the awakening of a volcano that has been dormant for 200 years in Iceland. We cannot predict what will hit the Earth tomorrow, but we are certain: each year brings its share of natural disasters that we try - often in vain - to anticipate, understand, and prevent. The images in this film show these apocalyptic moments as they take place, on the ground, in the heart of the action. 4K cameras, computer-generated images, and interviews with scientists allow authentic immersion, in sounds and images, in the midst of disasters.
