Hobie Adventure Island jib

Here, I test my Hobie AI jib to see how much of a speed boost it yields. It takes a while to get going, but from about the 2:30 mark to the 5 minute mark, the main and jib are giving me an average speed of about 6.75mph. Shortly after that, I furl the jib, and the main alone then averages about 4.75mph. Then I again unfurl the jib and sail into the harbor. It seems like a fair comparison, and the improvement provided by the jib is more than a 40% increase in speed. Percentage-wise, that's probably close to optimal, but under many different sailing conditions, the jib will provide a 1-2 mph boost in speed.
