MacBook Pro A2141 oxydé : La réparation de la dernière chance

In this video, I'm taking care of a 16-inch MacBook Pro A2141 that has suffered oxidation on the motherboard, near a very sensitive area: the NAND flash memory, which is the storage soldered directly to the motherboard. The MacBook won't boot, but the diagnosis is interesting: it's negotiating at 20V, drawing about 1A, and the trackpad clicks. This means the motherboard isn't completely dead… but that part of the boot sequence is probably blocked. I'll show you the important steps of the diagnosis: microscopic inspection, looking for corrosion, analyzing the USB-C power consumption, and considering the risks to data. On recent MacBooks, replacing a motherboard can sometimes mean data loss.
