Milk replacement formula for puppies

A couple of excellent posts were made on Facebook giving the same formula to use as a milk substitute or addition for Boerboel puppies. The origins of the formula is somewhere in history as more than one breeder received the formula from somebody 'many years ago', so, it was most probably what was used before milk replacement formulas became commercially available. The short and sweet is........ IT WORKS WELL. Yes, some people might be concerned about this or that component of the formula but I have personally been using it for many years, with excellent results. The most important part of the process is to get the temperature of both the puppies as well as the formula right because cold milk cannot be digested by a puppy and a cold puppy cannot digest milk, even if the milk is at the correct temperature ........ I know everybody will ask..... which dog is on the picture? It was Linjo Ousie, my alltime favourite dog, with a litter of 12 puppies. She had 6 at a time with her and 6 in a crate, changed every 2 hours, to relieve the pressure. They were all raised on this formula and they went through buckets of it, without any problems.
