Trailer Webinar with Jack Li Vigni #3 on Voce Chiusa, or establishing a gathered sound.
Voice instructor, Jack Li Vigni, (Voice instructor at Jetter Parker Young Artist Program - Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Curtis Institute of Music -Philadelphia, Brooklyn College -CUNY, and founder of Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival in Italy), a webinar focusing on the concept of voce chiusa or raccolta, the idea that the voice is not wide but rather narrow. The acoustic feeling of narrow sound, or the voice being like a beam of sound, rather than a wide flow. The feeling finds its physical correlate in the narrowing of the exit of the larynx and the establishment of singer's formant. Those physical correlates and exercises to establish this narrowness are explored.
