The caretaker and head of an Islamic boarding school in Simbang Kulon Village, Buaran District, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, was arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing several female students. The arrest was made by Pekalongan Police officers on Wednesday (May 27, 2026) at approximately 6:30 a.m. WIB at the perpetrator's residence, which also serves as a hermitage. It was later revealed that six people were sexually harassed by the cleric, identified as AKF. Pekalongan City Police Chief, AKBP Riki Yariandi, stated that solving this case required a lengthy process because the victims were under pressure and fear. As a result, the police approached the victims' families until they finally agreed to file an official report. According to the Police Chief, the victims came from Pekalongan, Pemalang, Batang, and Semarang. They experienced sexual abuse by the perpetrator while they were still minors and living in a hermitage. The case was also monitored by the Yakuza Maneges organization, which originates from Kediri, East Java. Yakuza Maneges representative, Eko Ebes, stated that his organization intervened to provide support to the victims. According to Eko, his organization received reports from the victims via Direct Messages (DM) on Instagram and WhatsApp. According to the victims, the number of female students suspected of being victims of the Islamic boarding school leader's depraved actions reached 23 to 25. Eko revealed that the perpetrator's alleged method included asking for massages during quiet times.
