Refining Itoigawa Juniper

In this video we want to share step by step the refining process to create harmony and rhythm on this beautiful juniper. Originally it was a formosana juniper created in the field from Francisco Correa in Belo Horizonte ( Brasil ) during the last 20 years . Grafted about 5 years ago to have a better and finest foliage. The refinement have the goal to highlight the beautiful trunk with deadwood and live veins using the pads as a frame for it. We position the pads in order to focus the attention of the observer into the focal points of the trees . The position of a pad is not only in relation to the trunkline but also to the position of the other pads. Positive and negative spaces have a key role in the over all design.
